Exploration Into a Concept of Happiness

Have you ever felt a warm summer breeze while walking in a field alone under the setting sun? Or the head of your cat rubbing against your leg as you sit on the back porch sightseeing the clouds? An invigorating feeling that seeps into the nook and crannies of your chest as your pupils dilate from its beauty. Happiness found in nature can be found within us. Born from a body conceived from Earth; we are connected as one. Fall brings preparation for winter death that is followed by the rebirth of spring ending in summer life. The circle of life isn’t confined to the end of our existence. Sadness and happiness breed each other. The scales are tipped when we tell lies to ourselves in the scheme of life outside of our mind, while yin and yang reside in the cry to soar in the sky. Unbuild the bricks built on weak sticks to free yourself from the trapped mind once unbalanced in the lies of the now healed cries.

Protest Poem

Our fresh air has depleted

Lungs now filled with the dense smoke of oblivion

Topped with manipulation

Causing an obliteration to the lives we’re living

Corrupting a muck of destruction

Our minds will not be disrupted

By the pollution of the institution

The goal is to control the future with our constitution

Infiltrate the snakes with their own bait

To cease all deceiving thieves from their lead

Mona Lisa

Part 1

Her gentle smile causes havoc among the ones that see it

Possessing a beauty that creates duality in the minds that judge and critique it

Deceiving the ones that want to believe it

Yet they perceive at surface level

But in the depths of her lines you find the truth in her presence

Intent spread within the layers

Only the ones that believe it can escape the deceivement
